Mission

Roadside Foundation aims to provide auto repair assistance to DuPage County, Illinois residents, focusing on supporting low-income families, veterans, seniors, and individuals experiencing a disability. We are committed to fostering a sense of community by ensuring that reliable transportation is accessible and enhancing independence. Through our dedicated team of professionals and volunteers, we aim to deliver transparent, honest, and compassionate service while empowering individuals with the knowledge to maintain their vehicles.

To establish ourselves as a top advocate for affordable and accessible auto repair services in DuPage County, we aim to improve road safety and promote well-being through community initiatives. By focusing on road safety and the welfare of our community, we do more than just offer repair assistance; we enhance lives and cultivate an empowered, more connected community.

Founded by a dedicated social worker, we are a small but growing 501(c)(3) nonprofit full of heart. While we don’t have a garage for repairs yet, the strong partnerships we’ve built in our community help us support our clients. Together, we're working to ensure they can keep their vehicles on the road and stay connected with what matters most.

With deep sadness, the board has decided to permanently close down, acknowledging the significant impact on those reliant on our services. Despite diligent efforts to find alternatives, no attainable options remain. We sincerely thank our supporters for their dedication, which has been vital to our mission. We appreciate the community's ongoing support and encourage staying connected with local organizations for assistance.
